BAE Systems is seeking an Applications Developer (Expert) to design, develop, deploy, and maintain enterprise applications using Java, Spring Boot, and AngularJS. The ideal candidate will bring strong full-stack development experience, a commitment to software quality, and the ability to collaborate effectively within an Agile/Scrum environment. Key Responsibilities: • Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain enterprise applications and services. • Develop secure, scalable, readable, and maintainable software. • Troubleshoot application defects and production issues and provide ongoing support. • Participate in technical design decisions, code reviews, testing, and software releases. • Collaborate with customers, product owners, Scrum Masters, QA engineers, and development teams to clarify requirements and deliver solutions. • Support and enhance existing applications, including legacy systems. • Maintain accurate technical documentation. Agile/Scrum: • Participate actively in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and backlog refinement. • Collaborate with product owners and team members to define, estimate, and deliver user stories. • Contribute to continuous improvement and alignment with product goals. Code Quality & Operations: • Follow established coding standards and software development best practices. • Develop unit and integration tests to ensure application reliability. • Assist with cloud deployments, including AWS environments. • Monitor application performance and provide production support. Key Qualifications: • Senior-level (8+ years' experience) developing full-stack enterprise applications. • Strong experience with Java, Spring Boot, and AngularJS. • Experience with RESTful services, unit/integration testing, and enterprise application development. • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments. • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills. • Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
