BAE Systems, Precision Guidance and Sensing Solutions (PGSS) Product Line, within the Precision Strike (PS) Business Area, has an immediate opening for a Senior Principal Systems Engineer that is well versed in the overall Systems Engineering process and associated phases of the program life cycle. In this position, the candidate is expected to support our Advanced Precision Kill Weapons System (APKWS) portfolio of development projects. This may also include being able to provide ongoing support to supplier activities as needed to meet delivery schedules and design review requirements. Key Responsibilities: • Establish requirements baseline for programs along with understanding how and why requirements decomposition and traceability • Specification development, organization and overall requirements development understanding –necessary, sufficient, and verifiable • Develop requirements in response to customer operational needs and mature operational concepts, and derive technical baselines necessary to meet the requirements • Assist in the flow down of requirements to testable modular hardware and software
