Job Title: Foreman Electrician - Houston, TX Location: Houston, TX - On-site (field) Employment Type: Full-Time Salary: $46.00 - $50.00 Hourly + Overtime Company Introduction This opportunity is with one of the largest open-shop electrical contractors in Texas, ranked among the top 10 electrical contractors in the state, with a 30+ year track record and expanding operations across Oklahoma. The company's expertise spans nearly every corner of electrical construction, from design-build and industrial work to large-scale healthcare, aviation, education, and data center projects, and it has built a reputation with general contractors for precision, reliability, and on-time delivery. The company runs one of the strongest VDC/BIM departments in the state, producing shop drawings to a rigorous LOD 400 detail level and coordinating directly with an in-house prefabrication department to speed up field installation and reduce on-site labor. The virtual design team averages well over a decade of electrical industry experience, and the department fosters a detail-oriented, collaborative culture built on clear communication and dependable delivery. Role Overview The Foreman Electrician leads a crew on the assembly, installation, maintenance, and testing of electrical equipment and wiring systems in commercial, industrial, and large multi-family settings. This is a hands-on leadership role: the Foreman plans the work, lays out the install from the drawings, and holds the crew to code, spec, schedule, and budget. The role works directly with the project superintendent and project manager and is accountable for a safe, productive, and organized jobsite every day. Physical work is a primary part of the position. Core Responsibilities • Lead and direct a crew on commercial, industrial, and large multi-family electrical installations • Prepare and organize the work area for yourself and your crew each day • Read blueprints and electrical drawings, then lay out and install as specified • Connect wiring, fixtures, and equipment to code, specification, and manufacturer requirements • Verify dimensions, alignments, and clearances before and during installation • Operate hydraulic benders, power threaders, power pullers, cable vacuum systems, and similar equipment • Maintain certification for powder-actuated tools and JLG aerial lifts • Enforce jobsite safety, PPE compliance, and housekeeping across the crew • Track labor and material against the schedule and budget and report progress to the superintendent Required Background • Valid Texas Journeyman Electrical license required • Proven track record of completing projects safely, on schedule, and on budget • Prior experience leading a crew on commercial or industrial electrical work • Strong working knowledge of the National Electrical Code and local building codes • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, electrical drawings, and specifications • Strong communication skills with crew, superintendents, and project managers • Valid driver's license and dependable transportation • Able to work 8 to 10 hour days, 40 hours per week, plus overtime and night shifts as required • Able to work in all weather conditions and routinely lift more than 50 pounds; physical work is more than 70% of the job • High school diploma or GED Compensation & Perks • Competitive salary based on experience • 401(k) plan with company match • Medical, dental, and vision insurance • Annual bonus program based on performance, achievement, and company profitability • Term life, AD&D, and voluntary life insurance • Disability income protection insurance • Pre-tax flexible spending plans (health and dependent care) • Paid parental leave • Paid holidays, vacation, and personal time • Training and professional development opportunities • Path for advancement into senior and leadership roles Ready to run your own crew on some of Houston's biggest builds?
