Our company is a place that prioritizes being a force for good, a place to expand learning, explore new perspectives and reimagine new possibilities, every day. We look for people who want to bring their best — bold thinkers with big hearts who challenge one another and grow together. Because becoming the undisputed leader in food means surrounding ourselves with people who are hungry for what’s next.
OVERVIEW As a Senior Infrastructure Engineer (MuleSoft Developer), you will design, optimize, and safeguard the integration services that connect General Mills' most critical systems. You will lead complex, high-impact platform efforts, partner closely with our solution delivery and architecture teams, and drive resilience, scalability, and cost efficiency across the Digital & Technology organization. You will also serve as a subject matter expert and mentor, shaping best practices and guiding fellow developers. If you are energized by solving hard integration problems for a Fortune 500 company, this is your opportunity to make a broad and lasting impact. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS • Education: Full-time graduation from an accredited university (Mandatory — Note: this is the minimum education criteria, which cannot be altered). • Experience: • At least 8 years of overall professional experience. • A minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience with MuleSoft. • At least 3 years of practical experience with Java or C# (object-oriented programming languages). • A minimum of 1 year of experience working with databases. • Experience with integration design patterns, automation, standardization, and best practices. • Experience working directly with technical and business teams, including low-level technical design and requirement gathering. • Technical Skills: • Hands-on API development using the MuleSoft platform, with expertise in deployment strategies, Mule clustering, Mule Gateway, MUnit, and MuleSoft Anypoint Platform. • Strong hands-on DataWeave for complex data transformation. • Strong expertise in troubleshooting and debugging complex issues, including managing runtime servers and Mule connectors (standard/custom). • Familiarity with CI/CD and Cloud Hub/RTF, plus version control tools. • Proven skills in Java, JSON, jQuery, and Python and/or other shell scripting. • GCP experience. • Soft Skills: Strong communication skills for coordinating with different stakeholders. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS • MuleSoft Architecture / Development certification. • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, particularly Google Cloud Platform (GCP), across various cloud deployments, with strong overall cloud knowledge. • Familiarity with Kafka, BigQuery, and Google Pub/Sub. • Terraform knowledge. • Strong knowledge of infrastructure components, including networking, storage, and computing in cloud environments. • Hands-on experience with monitoring and logging tools for performance and issue resolution. • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and modern software engineering principles. • Ability to work through others, guide and develop junior team members, and provide technical consultation on MuleSoft platform best practices, security, and governance. • Strong aptitude to learn and a passion for problem solving.
