Responsibilities Operates ultrasound equipment to perform clinical diagnostic ultrasound exams and routine invasive procedures according to established standards and practices. Provides patient services utilizing ultrasound equipment. Demonstrates knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and pathology. Provides patient care to all age groups to include neonatal, pediatrics, adult, and geriatrics. Communicates effectively with staff and radiologists. Qualifications MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:• Graduate of registry approved ultrasound program, a CAAHEP accredited Cardiac Sonographer program, or equivalent experience according to Intersocietal Accreditation Commission (IAC).MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: NoneMINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:• Current registered or registry eligible with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) with RDCS certification or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) with RCS certification.• Must obtain appropriate credential within twelve months of hire date.• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification in accordance with the American Heart Association is required.
