Working closely with customers, carriers, operations teams, and global stakeholders, you will leverage your expertise to develop tailored transportation solutions, mitigate supply chain risks, influence operational best practices, and support strategic customer initiatives. This role requires deep knowledge of semiconductor logistics, including the transportation of semiconductor manufacturing equipment, cleanroom-sensitive cargo, and ASML-related shipments supporting wafer fabrication and advanced manufacturing operations.
How you create impact
• Serve as the subject matter expert for semiconductor and other specialized, high-value, time-critical air freight shipments from origin through final delivery.
• Manage complex transportation solutions involving semiconductor capital equipment, ASML tool movements, expedited services, specialized trucking, temperature-controlled cargo, and other sensitive shipment requirements.
• Coordinate shipments supporting semiconductor fabrication facilities, OEMs, suppliers, and technology customers with strict service, security, and handling requirements.
• Act as the primary escalation point for critical operational issues, shipment exceptions, service failures, capacity constraints, and customer-sensitive situations.
• Assess risks, develop contingency plans, and lead cross-functional resolution efforts to ensure service continuity and customer satisfaction.
• Partner with strategic customers to recommend transportation strategies, supply chain solutions, and operational improvements that mitigate risk and enhance performance.
• Provide operational expertise during customer implementations, transitions, fab expansions, equipment installations, and specialized logistics programs.
• Lead knowledge-sharing initiatives, mentor operations teams, and promote best practices across the Air Logistics organization.
• Support continuous improvement efforts by enhancing operational processes, service quality, and customer experience.
• Maintain expert knowledge of semiconductor supply chains, ASML equipment logistics, carrier networks, market conditions, and industry trends to support operational excellence.
• Collaborate with Sales, Customer Care, Pricing, Operations, and Key Account teams to support strategic customer initiatives and business growth.
What we would like you to bring
• 5+ years of progressive experience within Air Logistics, Freight Forwarding, or International Transportation.
• Demonstrated expertise managing complex, high-value, time-critical, customer-sensitive, oversized, or project-related shipments.
• Strong experience managing international import and export air freight operations.
• Advanced understanding of airline operations, routing optimization, capacity management, customs processes, warehousing, trucking, and global freight forwarding requirements.
• Experience coordinating specialized transportation solutions, including first-mile and final-mile logistics activities.
• Experience supporting semiconductor customers and managing semiconductor-related freight shipments, including capital equipment, manufacturing components, spare parts, or time-critical production materials.
• Working knowledge of ASML equipment logistics, semiconductor manufacturing processes, fab operations, and cleanroom-sensitive transportation requirements.
• Proven ability to assess operational risk and develop practical solutions under time-sensitive conditions.
• Strong customer engagement skills with the ability to communicate confidently and professionally with senior customer stakeholders.
• Ability to effectively collaborate across Operations, Customer Care, Sales, Pricing, Carriers, Vendors, and international stakeholders.
• Exceptional problem-solving, prioritization, and decision-making abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience serving as the lead operational contact for strategic or key account customers.
• Demonstrated success designing customized transportation solutions for specialized industries.
• Experience mentoring team members and providing operational leadership in a matrix-managed environment.
• Deep understanding of semiconductor supply chains, ASML operations, wafer fabrication environments, and critical manufacturing logistics.
• Experience supporting customers within semiconductor, electronics, technology, advanced manufacturing, aerospace, or other highly regulated industries.
• Knowledge of specialized cargo management including temperature-controlled shipments, security-sensitive cargo, shock monitoring, and visibility technologies.
• Experience managing the transportation of semiconductor capital equipment, cleanroom components, wafer handling systems, lithography equipment, or other highly sensitive manufacturing assets.
