Job Summary and Responsibilities As our Radiologic Technologist (Rad Tech), you will be pivotal in producing diagnostic images that enable Radiologists to accurately diagnose and manage patient conditions. Each day, you will perform a variety of imaging examinations, including X-rays, ultrasound, diagnostic fluoroscopy, CT/CAT scans, and MRIs, while actively contributing to a positive patient experience through direct interaction. To excel, you must deeply understand diagnostic imaging's critical importance, encompassing expertise in workflow, patient positioning, and capturing precise results essential for timely and accurate diagnoses. • Performs complete diagnostic imaging tests on patients according to the specific departmental procedure protocols under the direction of the Medical Director. Obtains and documents patient history • Prepares equipment ensuring that equipment is operational, safe and functioning according to diagnostic standards. Performs periodic QA and ensures requisite documentation • Ensures that daily equipment and room maintenance are performed before/during/ after each procedure, and that special precautions and measures are performed to ensure infection control standards • Actively Participates with patient testing, performing urgent, emergent patient requests, routine and non- routine requests and OR procedures requiring radiographic support • Completes all clinical supply inventories, ensuring that each diagnostic room is complete with the necessary supplies required to perform the procedure Job Requirements Required: • One (1) year experience in Radiology • Must have completed an accredited Radiology program • Medical Radiographer: TX (MRAD) • BLS from the American Heart Association (AHA) within 14 days of hire • One of the following certifications: • Registered Technologist Radiography ARRT(R) • Registered Technologist Bone Densitometry (RTBD) • Registered Technologist Computed Tomography (RTCT) • Registered Technologist Cardio Interventional Radiography (RTCV) • Registered Technologist Mammography (RTM) • Registered Technologist Magnetic Resonance Imaging (RTMR) • Registered Technologist Nuclear Medicine Technology (RTN) • Registered Technologist Quality Management (RTQM) • Registered Technologist Radiation Therapy (RTT) • Registered Technologist Vascualr Inteventional Rad (RTVI) • Registered Technologist Vascular Sonography (RTVS) Preferred: • Associates Degree in Allied Health or Radiology Where You'll Work St. Joseph Health – Bryan/College Station, Navasota, Caldwell, Madisonville, TX.
