Gold Coast Center for Veterinary Care is a state of the art referral hospital currently seeking a full-time Veterinary Assistant to join our Physical Rehabilitation team. Gold Coast is proud to offer a variety of rehabilitation services and modalities to our patients including: • In-patient/out-patient rehab • Home exercise programs • Weight loss management • Client education • Numerous assistive devices • Therapeutic laser • Electric stimulation • Therapeutic massage • Therapeutic exercises • Therapeutic ultrasound • & A wide range of exercise equipment. Schedule: 10-hour day shifts | Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Saturday Experience: 1 year of veterinary experience preferred Your day-to-day responsibilities will include: • Gentle handling of patients & restraining • Assisting with physical rehabilitation treatments, • Maintaining rehabilitation equipment • Cleaning, laundry and basic clinic up keep • Medication administration & filling prescriptions • Assisting our Technicians and our Veterinarian as needed • Tackling projects as assigned (with a smile, as always!) Skills Knowledge and Expertise • High school diploma or GED required • Preferred have at least 1 year of veterinary medicine experience • Must be a bright, friendly, and effective communicator in order to communicate with clients, visitors, veterinarians, and other hospital staff.
