Responsibilities • Works under general supervision to provide facility security and maintenance. • Provides unarmed guarding and patrolling of premises and security rounds. • Assists with medical emergencies as necessary. • Records information and prepares reports. • Maintains records of security activities in the appropriate records and logs. • Performs duties required by departmental supervision. Requirements • This job normally requires a level of knowledge in security service equivalent to that which would be acquired through the completion of some college or equivalent certification. • Demonstration of directly related work experience, which has provided an equivalent breadth, and depth of knowledge may be considered in lieu of the educational requirement. • Ability to secure a Transportation Workers Identification Card (TWIC) is required. • A current, valid Alaska driver’s license, with a clean driving record is required. • Must pass a pre-employment background check. • EMT or advanced first aid certification and practical experience preferred. • Minimum age of 18 years. • Dedicated to delivering excellent customer service to all passengers, coworkers, visitors, ships' staff, and vendors. • Must be eligible to work in the United States. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: • Ability to organize and prioritize work, maintain attention to time constraints, while working in a team or group environment. • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple tasks and external influences. • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while completing daily tasks. • Ability to support and comply with company policies, procedures and guidelines including support and comply with company health and safety standards. • Ability to support and comply with facility security and USCG regulations. • Ability to stand/walk/work on feet for minimum of 8 hours per day.
