Key Responsibilities • Provide one-on-one academic tutoring in core subjects (Math, English Language Arts, Science, Social Studies, and/or Foreign Languages) • Support students with homework, study skills, executive functioning, and test preparation • Develop individualized learning plans based on student needs and assessment results • Track student progress and provide regular updates to families • Foster a positive, encouraging, and professional learning environment • Travel to students’ homes throughout the Raleigh-Durham area Qualifications • Master’s degree or teaching certification • Strong subject-matter expertise in at least one core academic area • Prior teaching or tutoring experience (classroom, private tutoring, or small-group instruction) • Ability to differentiate instruction for diverse learners • Excellent communication and organizational skills • Reliable transportation • Authorized to work in the United States What We Offer • Competitive hourly compensation • Flexible scheduling • Ongoing professional support • Meaningful, long-term relationships with students and families Schedule & Availability Tutors create schedules based on their availability and student demand. Work Location Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina Requirements A qualified applicant will have a bachelor’s degree and will also meet at least one of the following criteria: • You hold a valid North Carolina teaching certificate or the equivalent thereof • You are a current student teacher pursuing a teaching certificate • You have 2 or more years of experience as a classroom teacher in a private, public, or charter school • You have experience as a lecturer/course instructor at an accredited U.S. university or college • You are a Master’s/PhD student with experience as a teaching assistant at an accredited U.S. university or college
