Senior Python Engineer responsibilities are: • Design and develop high-quality, maintainable code for our serverless applications on AWS • Utilize the Serverless Framework to build and deploy microservices that are both efficient and scalable • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features • Lead architectural discussions to ensure solutions are designed for successful deployment, security, and high availability in the cloud • Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability • Address and improve any technical issues • Work together with web designers to match visual design intent Senior Python Engineer requirements are: • 5+ years experience developing software solutions with at least 2 years in Python • Bonus points if you have full stack experience • Significant expertise in designing, developing and consuming RESTful APIs • You enjoy designing simple solutions to complex problems. • You enjoy communicating your ideas with your team and improving that design to meet the needs of the customer. • Elegance and maintainability are key aspects of your design. • You are familiar with deploying applications to AWS. • Bonus points if you have serverless experience. • Collaborate with other skillsets on your team such as Front End Development, DevOps and Design. • You place a high value on documentation from that found in the code to process and playbooks found in a wiki. • You understand that the software will likely be run and maintained by others and feel a responsibility to them.
