As a Mechanical Engineer in the Design group at SV Microwave, you will: • Develop manufacturable designs of products using SolidWorks modeling techniques and mechanical tolerance analysis • Work directly with SV Applications Engineers and have the opportunity to travel to interact directly with customer engineers to fulfill demand for custom products • Regularly communicate with internal customers (Sales, Quality, Manufacturing) and external customers to define project objectives and updates • Lead design reviews on complex products with a multidisciplinary group before release • Interface with industry and trade shows, and evaluate competitors to analyze and recommend new advances in technology • Specify testing protocols/experiments and oversee assembly of prototypes to validate your designs • Troubleshoot root cause design and component failures and field returns using both experimental and analytical methods.
