Job Description: Business Analyst – Mid Market Role Overview We are looking for a highly analytical and business-oriented Business Analyst to support the Mid Market team. The role will work closely with Sales, Product, Strategy, and Leadership to drive insights, improve performance tracking, and enable data-driven decision-making across the Mid Market ecosystem. The ideal candidate should be hands-on with data, extremely comfortable with dashboards, and capable of using modern tools including SQL, Google Sheets, dashboarding platforms, and AI tools like ChatGPT for productivity and analysis. ⸻ Experience • 7–8 years of relevant experience in Business Analytics, Sales Analytics, Revenue Analytics, or similar roles • Prior experience working with Sales / Field / Mid-Market or Enterprise teams is strongly preferred ⸻ Key Responsibilities • Own sales and business performance dashboards for the Mid Market team • Analyze key metrics such as: • Acquisitions, activations, retention • Productivity (FSE/KAM/ASM level) • Funnel performance and revenue trends • Design, build, and maintain automated dashboards and MIS for leadership reviews • Work closely with Sales & Business teams to: • Translate business problems into analytical solutions • Identify performance gaps and growth opportunities • Perform deep-dive analysis using SQL and spreadsheets to support strategic decisions • Enable faster reporting and insights by: • Leveraging ChatGPT / AI integrations within Excel & Google Sheets • Automating repetitive analysis and reporting workflows • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and governance across reports and dashboards • Support ad-hoc analysis, pilots, and new initiatives as required ⸻ Technical & Functional Skills Mandatory Skills • Strong proficiency in SQL (joins, sub-queries, aggregations, performance optimization) • Excellent command over Google Sheets (advanced formulas, pivots, data validation, automation) • Strong understanding of Sales dashboards & KPIs • Hands-on experience with dashboarding tools such as: • Apache Superset • Google Data Studio / Looker Studio • Comfortable using ChatGPT or similar AI tools for: • Data analysis support • Formula creation • Documentation and automation within Excel/Sheets Good to Have • Experience with large datasets and multiple data sources • Exposure to fintech, payments, lending, or platform-based businesses • Basic understanding of ETL/data pipelines ⸻ Soft Skills & Mindset • Strong business acumen with the ability to think beyond numbers • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment • Structured problem-solving mindset with attention to detail • Comfortable working with ambiguity and evolving business requirements ⸻ Why Join Paytm – Mid Market Team • Opportunity to work at scale with one of India’s largest fintech platforms • Direct exposure to business leadership and strategic initiatives • High ownership role with real business impact • Fast-paced environment with scope to innovate using data & AI
