Full description

Brilliant Agency, one of the most respected and rapidly growing agencies focused on family-oriented brands, seeks a REMOTE Design & Presentations Intern, 15 hours a week to help support the agency’s growing, award-winning team beginning June 1 and ending December 18. Who We Are: So what’s Brilliant all about? We are a unique Marketing agency with nearly 25 team members across the US. We give our team the resources they need to get their work done without having to sit in a cubicle or stuffy office. From costume contests to virtual happy hours and Slack GIFs, we prioritize connecting with each other and creating a sense of community. What We Do: We specialize in PR, Influencer, and Social Media services for consumer lifestyle brands across a variety of categories including baby/maternity, toys/games, food/beverage, and CPG. Our Dream Team Member: • Resourceful, committed, and deliberate • Strong eye for design, layout, and visual storytelling • Able to translate a specific vision into clean, compelling slides for more visual storytelling • Comfortable working in Canva (presentations + graphics) • Understands how to simplify information visually (not just make things “look good”) • Detail-oriented with typography, spacing, and consistency • Open to feedback and quick iterations • Interested in how design supports strategy, storytelling, and client work • Excited about building a strong career foundation to build from post graduation. • Video and post-production editing capabilities not required but a PLUS! Job Description: We have two internship sessions – Spring/Summer (January - May/August) and Fall/Winter (June or August - December) – and many interns end up staying for multiple sessions. Active interns get first pick for the following semester internship spots! This isn’t an internship to organize files or provide admin support. Your work will provide a meaningful contribution to Brilliant as an agency and to its clients. You will receive true agency experience with opportunities to collaborate with different departments and exposure to agency life should that be a long-term career path you want to explore. With that, it is critical that interns can meet deadlines, respond to messages in a timely manner, and be proactive in communicating with their team. Potential Responsibilities Include: Presentation & Slide Design: • Translate team ideas, outlines, and data into clean, visually compelling slides • Build and update presentations using Brilliant templates in Canva • Help improve slide structure, flow, and clarity for internal and client decks • Turn messy content into polished, easy-to-understand visuals Graphic Design Support: • Create simple graphics for internal and client needs (social mockups, one-pagers, etc.) Creative Collaboration: • Work with account teams to bring ideas to life visually • Share ideas for improving templates and design systems Internship Structure: • Summer/Fall Session (2026): starting June 1 (or sooner) and ending December 18 While these are our preferred timelines, we are still flexible with potential start and end dates based on candidate availability. Requirements for a successful candidate include: • You must be a rising sophomore, junior or senior. • Experience using Canva (required) • Intermediate understanding of presentation design and layout • Ability to work from a template and also improve upon it • Portfolio or sample work (presentations or graphics) • Ability to commit to at least 15 hours a week during office hours, 8–5 in your time zone • Professional demeanor and a drive to succeed • Eagerness to learn and willingness to ask questions • Resourceful attitude and keen attention to detail ***Prior to applying for this position, please contact your College or University Career Center and verify that you are eligible to receive College Credits for an Internship although accepting credit hours is not necessary to accept an offer. If selected, Brilliant will reimburse you $250 each month for using your personal cell phone, computer, and home internet.***
