Summary: The primary function of a Preventative Maintenance Technician is to complete preventative maintenance on all production equipment, following applicable preventative maintenance task lists. Essential Functions: • Capable of dismantling equipment as necessary for completion of preventative maintenance tasks and reassembling same without supervision. • Able to develop the skills needed to read mechanical schematics and blueprints; follow directions from manuals. • Able to interpret PM work orders and complete them in a timely manner. • Willing to make suggestions on improvements or additions to PM task lists. • Perform preventative maintenance tasks and look for defects or potential issues and correct them as needed. • Maintain a clean, safe work area at all times. • Comply with all GMP requirements. • Adhere/comply with all Company policies, procedures and practices. • All other duties as assigned. Qualifications: • Works well with others, fostering a team atmosphere. • Basic experience with hand tools. • Able to develop proficiency in the use of hand tools, power tools and manual repair equipment. • Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations. • Ability to read and record written instructions. • Ability to work independently. • Must be willing and able to maintain open, effective communication with team members as well as departmental and plant leadership. Education: • High School or equivalent. • Successful completion of a formal technical training program or experience in an industrial maintenance role a plus.
