General Contractor specializing in Multifamily rehabs/renovations looking for an Estimator with experience working on large-scale Multifamily Construction projects. Primary Responsibilities: • Responsible for all estimating and budget development to include: • • Unit quantity estimates and pricing of the work for entire project • Soliciting vendors (RFP’s) and subcontractors for proposals for the construction work • Reviewing plans to develop and clarify scope of work • Reviewing and comparing the scope of work and pricing for the vendor proposals • Negotiating subcontractor agreements • Reviewing & negotiating change order requests • Preparing monthly construction draw requests • Developing historical cost data base • Additional responsibilities to include: • • Complete material and labor unit quantity takeoffs using corporate guidelines • Analyze quantity takeoffs and unit costs for all trades including site work and vertical construction. • Understand unit costing and quantity estimating of construction materials. • Assist in the feasibility, value engineering, bidding, and contracting process. • Assist the Senior Project Manager in creating contractor bid packages for the projects. • Assist in the negotiations of pricing and quantities with multiple contractors to obtain the best pricing for the highest quality materials and services. • Conduct unit costs analysis. • Develop a unit cost data base.
