Perimeter Behavioral of Forrest City, Arkansas has an immediate opening for a Mental Health Technician! Mental Health Technician Perimeter Behavioral of Forrest City is hiring a Mental Health Technician (MHT) / Youth Care Worker to support children and adolescents receiving behavioral health care. In this hands-on role, you’ll help maintain a safe, therapeutic environment while supporting patients’ daily routines, behavior goals, and life skills. What you’ll do • Provide attentive supervision and positive interaction with patients throughout your shift. • Observe and assess behavior, complete assigned observation rounds, and document patient behavior accurately. • Escort patients and help orient them to the unit. • Model and teach appropriate life skills, and assist patients with activities of daily living. • Help maintain a safe, clean, and therapeutic environment. • Use physical intervention or restraint when appropriate, following facility training and procedures. Training is provided. What you’ll need • High school diploma or equivalent. • At least one year of related experience in an assisted living, residential, or hospital setting; psychiatric experience is preferred. One year of experience as a military Corpsman may also qualify. • Must be at least 21 years old. • Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, lift, push, and pull as needed to perform the role, including during restraints. • Education or work experience in psychology, human services, nursing, or social work is preferred. Schedule Full-time team members work a rotating schedule of four days on and two days off.
