Build Relationships. Grow a Territory. Make an Impact. For more than 70 years, Regal Plastic has been a trusted leader in the distribution and fabrication of plastic sheet, rod, tube and film products. We serve customers across a wide range of industries by combining quality materials, fabrication capabilities, technical knowledge and responsive local service. We’re growing, and we’re looking for a driven, relationship-focused Territory Account Manager who wants more than just a sales job. This is an opportunity to take ownership of an established sales territory with an existing customer base while developing new business throughout the market. You’ll have the freedom to build relationships, identify opportunities and grow your territory—with the support of an experienced customer service, operations and management team behind you. If you’re a self-starter who enjoys meeting customers, solving problems, developing new business and seeing your efforts directly impact your income and the success of the company, we’d like to talk with you. What You'll Do As a Territory Account Manager, you'll be responsible for both growing existing accounts and developing new business within your assigned territory. Your responsibilities will include: • Develop and execute a strategy to grow sales and profitability throughout your territory. • Build strong, long-term relationships with existing customers and identify opportunities to expand those accounts. • Prospect for new customers through research, referrals, networking, cold outreach and in-person visits. • Identify customer applications and recommend material, fabrication and supply solutions that meet their needs. • Manage an active pipeline of prospects and consistently convert qualified opportunities into customers. • Conduct business-to-business sales calls both from the office and in the field. • Visit customers and prospects throughout your territory to better understand their businesses, applications and future needs. • Work closely with Customer Service, Operations and Management to provide customers with an exceptional experience. • Prepare and follow up on quotes, opportunities and customer projects. • Negotiate pricing and business opportunities while maintaining appropriate profitability. • Develop a strong understanding of Regal Plastic's products, fabrication capabilities and supplier resources. • Monitor territory performance, sales activity, margins and opportunities. • Meet or exceed established monthly and annual sales goals. • Maintain accurate customer, prospect and sales activity information. • Participate in sales meetings, supplier training, industry events and professional development opportunities. What Makes Someone Successful at Regal We give our people room to operate, make decisions and build relationships. In return, we look for people who take ownership of their territory and their results. You're a self-starter. You don't need someone constantly telling you who to call or what to do next. You actively look for opportunities and follow through. You're a relationship builder. Our best customers aren't one-time transactions. Many are long-term partnerships built by understanding their businesses and becoming a resource they can depend on. You're comfortable developing new business. You aren't afraid to pick up the phone, walk into a prospective customer's facility, ask questions and start a conversation. You're curious. Industrial sales is about solving problems. You want to understand what the customer is manufacturing, how they're doing it and where Regal can help. You understand that profitable growth matters. Sales volume is important, but successful territory management also means understanding pricing, margins and the overall value of the business you're developing. You're a strong communicator. You can communicate effectively with everyone from purchasing and engineering to production managers, business owners and your teammates at Regal. You're a team player. Great salespeople don't operate alone. You'll work closely with Customer Service, Operations, Fabrication, Purchasing and Management to deliver for your customers. What We're Looking For • Previous B2B sales, territory management, account management or business development experience preferred. • Demonstrated ability—or strong desire—to prospect for and develop new business. • Ability to manage and grow an existing customer base. • Strong communication, relationship-building, negotiation and interpersonal skills. • Ability to organize and manage a sales territory independently. • Comfortable making outbound calls and conducting in-person customer visits. • Ability to understand customer applications and develop practical solutions. • Basic business math skills and an understanding of pricing and profitability. • Strong written communication skills. • Working knowledge of Google Workspace or similar business software. • Willingness and ability to travel throughout the assigned territory. • Valid driver's license. • Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education, industry knowledge and relevant professional experience. Experience in plastics, industrial distribution, manufacturing, fabrication or another technical B2B sales environment is a plus—but not required. We're willing to invest in the right person who has the drive and ability to learn. Compensation & Benefits Regal Plastic offers a compensation program designed to reward people who grow their territory and exceed expectations. • $55,000 annual base salary • Performance-based sales incentive opportunity • Medical insurance • Dental insurance • Vision insurance • Life and AD&D insurance • Short-Term and Long-Term Disability • 401(k) with company match • Paid time off • Paid holidays • Flexible work environment • Ongoing product, supplier and sales training Why Regal Plastic? We've been in business for more than 70 years because we believe in taking care of our customers, investing in our people and building relationships that last. At Regal, you won't simply inherit a list of accounts and be asked to maintain them. You'll be given a territory to own. You'll have an established customer base to build from, the support and resources of an experienced organization, and the opportunity to develop new customers and applications throughout your market. For someone who is motivated by relationships, competition and growth, the opportunity is what you make of it. Ready to Grow With Us?
