Essential Duties • Read blueprints and drawings and take or read measurements to plan layout and procedures. • Set up components for welding according to specifications. • Weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions. • Repair machinery and other components by welding pieces and filling gaps. • Test and inspect welded surfaces and structure to discover flaws. • Ensure welds meet standards and specifications. • Supervise machines or robots that perform automated welding tasks. Education & Training • High school diploma or equivalent, required • Welders certification may be required depending on job specifications Skills & Competencies • Minimum 1 year of experience or schooling, preferred • Proficiency in: • MIG (GMAW) • TIG (GTAW) • Stick (SMAW) • Working knowledge of: • Welding • Structural brake forming • Fabrication processes along • Automated welding techniques This job description outlines the primary duties of the position, but is not intended to cover every task or responsibility.
