In this role, you will help promote comfort, dignity, safety, and independence while building positive, respectful relationships with the people you support. Responsibilities • Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support. • Provide companionship and emotional support while encouraging independence and wellbeing. • Help with light housekeeping tasks, meal preparation, and maintaining a safe, organized environment. • Support clients with transfers, repositioning, and the use of mobility aids as needed. • Observe and report changes in client condition, behavior, or needs to the appropriate supervisor or care team. • Follow individualized care plans and maintain accurate documentation when required. • Respect client privacy, confidentiality, and personal preferences at all times. • Adhere to all safety procedures, infection control standards, and organizational policies. Qualifications • Previous experience in personal care, home care, healthcare, or a related support role is preferred. • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly and respectfully. • Demonstrated compassion, patience, and a client-centered approach. • Ability to follow care instructions, work independently, and maintain professionalism. • Physical ability to assist with mobility, transfers, and other hands-on care tasks as required. • Basic understanding of safety, hygiene, and confidentiality practices. • Reliable transportation and flexibility to meet scheduling needs may be preferred depending on the setting.
