We are constantly growing and now seeking a Medical Insurance Coordinator to join our Billing team in the San Luis Obispo office. Not Remote Work schedule: Full-time hours, Monday through Friday onsite in San Luis Obispo office Main Duties: • Verify Insurance benefits, request insurance authorization for services, and update patient charts. • Communicate with patients, insurances, MD offices, clinical staff and co-workers to verify, confirm, and obtain information that may affect billing. • Cover for teammates with similar responsibilities when they are on vacation or out sick. Requirements: • Knowledge of insurance eligibility, benefit verification and authorizations preferred • Excellent computer skills including working knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook email/calendar • Excellent telephone and customer service skills • Self-directed and resourceful with ability to handle multiple tasks • Detail oriented with ability to solve problems, manage time effectively and prioritize tasks • Flexibility in the work environment and ability to deal with frequent change, delays, and unexpected events • Team player with a professional, positive attitude and ability to cover and assist teammates as needed We offer competitive pay, paid sick and personal time off and medical, dental and vision benefits, as well as 401k and gym membership.
