Key Responsibilities & Job Duties • Provide friendly, helpful, and respectful guest service at all times to ensure a positive shopping experience and encourage repeat visits • Prepare, slice, and package deli meats and cheeses to order while following proper food safety and equipment handling procedures • Prepare, cook, and stock deli items such as rotisserie chicken, salads, hot bar items, and grab-and-go meals according to quality and production standards • Maintain product freshness, labeling, and visual merchandising standards in deli cases and displays • Engage with guests to answer questions, provide recommendations, and offer meal solutions • Develop and maintain knowledge of deli and store products, including features, pricing, and location • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment to promote health, safety, and a professional appearance • Follow all food safety, sanitation, and personal hygiene guidelines to ensure compliance and guest safety • Operate deli equipment (slicers, scales, packaging tools) and POS systems accurately • Stock, rotate, and face products using FIFO methods to ensure freshness and minimize waste • Monitor inventory levels and report low, excess, or damaged items to leadership • Communicate clearly with teammates and collaborate across departments to support storewide efficiency and guest satisfaction • Adhere to company policies and procedures, including attendance, conduct, and dress code standards • Support loss prevention efforts by staying alert and following proper procedures • Assist with cleaning, restocking, and supporting other departments as needed • Remain productive during slower periods by maintaining department readiness and preparing products • Other job duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications • Required: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience • Required: Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays • Preferred: Experience in grocery, retail, or food service environments
