Job Details: Job Location: Baldwin City Corporate - Baldwin City, KS, Position Type: Full Time, Education Level: Bachelors Degree in Related Field, Salary Range: Undisclosed, Purpose: Performs various complex accounting duties according to Dealership policy and accounting theory. Duties may include coordinating, preparing, and analyzing general ledger information and reports that provide summary information for management to use in making Dealership financial decisions. Represents the Accounting Department as a contact for accounting issues. Leads, coaches, and develops department personnel. Provides excellent customer service for employees as well as customers and vendors.   Responsibilities: Prepares various daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports or statements Assists in month-end procedures, including account review, general ledger entries, account reconciliations, and analyzing general ledger information Examines accounting information contained in reports and exhibits, traces and reconciles unusual variances Performs and/or oversees complex account reconciliations Helps maintain an accurate general ledger Assists in overseeing customer accounts receivable activities, including collection efforts and helps maintain clean sub ledgers Assists in overseeing accounts payable activities to ensure accurate recording, accurate tax treatment, and helps maintain clean sub ledgers Assists in monthly multi-state sales and use tax reporting and return preparation. Works closely with employees throughout the organization in all departments to answer accounting questions and resolve issues. Assist in various audits, including annual financial statement, 401k, and insurance audits Helps manages recruiting, staffing and employee development activities for employees reporting to this position Other duties as assigned Qualifications: Experience, Education, Skills, and Knowledge:   8+ years experience in financial management or accounting management  Proven ability to lead teams, manage priorities, and communicate effectively within all levels of the organization Exceptional leadership, organizational, and communication skills with the ability to influence, mentor, and drive results Understands the importance of internal controls Understands the financial statements impact of entries made by accounting personnel Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills High level of attention to detail and accuracy Demonstrated expertise in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Power BI, with the ability to create complex reports, analyze data, and improve processes Proficient with accounting systems and in Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) Bachelors Degree in an Accounting/Finance/Business discipline or equivalent experience required
