Minimum Qualifications • Intermediate Care Facility (ICF): One year of direct care experience working with adults living with intellectual and developmental disabilities, mental illness or experience working in an Intermediate Care Facility. • Waiver & Day Support: One year of direct care experience working with adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities or mental illness. • Regional Supervised Housing: One year of direct care experience working with adults with serious mental illness. What You'll Do - Direct Care & Residential Support As a Direct Support Professional, you will provide essential hands-on care and individualized support to adults in residential and community-based settings. Your responsibilities may include: • Assist individuals with activities of daily living (ADLs), personal care, and daily routines. • Help with meal preparation, household activities, and maintaining a safe and supportive living environment. • Provide medication-related assistance according to individual service plans and program procedures. • Encourage participation in recreational activities, community outings, and meaningful daily experiences. • Promote personal choice, independence, and the development of everyday living skills. • Monitor individuals' well-being and communicate concerns to appropriate program staff. • Maintain accurate service documentation and collaborate with team members to ensure consistent, person-centered support. • Provide total-care assistance when needed, including the use of a Hoyer lift for safe transfers and mobility support.
