College courses desirable but not required. Current pharmacy technician permit or Pharmacy Technician in training license required 2 years pharmacy technician experience preferred but not required. Current pharmacy technician certification from PTCB or equivalent organization required.   JOB SUMMARY Pharmacy Technicians assist Pharmacists in preparing and distributing drugs, maintaining the drug inventory and maintenance of records. Pharmacy Technicians work only under the supervision of a Registered Pharmacist. They do not perform duties that can legally be performed only by a Registered Pharmacist.   ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND PERFORMANCE STANDARDS Exemplifies good customer service.
