Job Details: Level: Entry, Job Location: Rosewood Beach - Highland Park, IL, Position Type: Seasonal, Salary Range: $15.50 - $17.00Hourly, Summary: Spend your summer on the beautiful Rosewood beach working with 1st and 2nd graders! The Beach Camp counselor reports to the beach camp leader for supporting daily operations of High Tide Low Tide camp. Responsibilities include ensuring safety standards and guidelines are being followed, supervising campers throughout the day, carrying out planned activities for campers, and assisting with loading and unloading busses. The camp counselor will also be responsible for helping the Camp Leader provide age-appropriate discipline as necessary. Qualifications: Qualifications: Must be 16 year old or more, and have an interest in working with children in a recreational camp setting. Must display a positive and energetic attitude when working with campers. Prior experience working with youth is preferred but not required. Must be able to get in the water (pool or lake) for recreational swim time with campers. Classification: Seasonal, non-exempt Wage Range: $15.50 - $17.00 per hour, depending on experience. Working Conditions: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly outside and exposed to outside weather conditions including hot and humid weather and cold and rainy weather.
