As a VBS Distribution Clerk, you’ll play an important role in making sure our customers receive their products accurately and on time. From picking and packing to processing and shipping, you’ll stay active throughout the day while helping keep our Elgin distribution operation running smoothly. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys working as part of a team, takes pride in getting the details right, and likes seeing the results of their work each day. You’ll work across different areas of the distribution operation, use warehouse systems and equipment, and step in where needed as priorities change. Your attention to accuracy, efficiency, and quality will help us deliver the reliable service our customers count on.Qualifications: What You’ll Bring We’re looking for a dependable, adaptable, and detail-oriented team member who can thrive in a fast-paced warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will bring: High school diploma required; an associate degree in Business or coursework in Logistics is a plus. 3+ years of distribution center experience, including experience in B2B and B2C pick, pack, and ship operations. Experience leading or helping coordinate a group of employees to achieve daily service-level goals. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to meeting productivity, quality, accuracy, and safety standards. Ability to multitask, prioritize work, solve problems, and adjust to changing operational needs. Comfort using warehouse technology, computer systems, and related software. Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment, including walkie forklifts, pallet jacks, and similar equipment. Basic math skills, including units of measure and conversions. Strong communication and teamwork skills with the ability to follow verbal and written instructions. Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 45 pounds independently, remain on your feet for extended periods, and perform the repetitive movement required in a warehouse environment. Flexibility to work overtime, evenings, weekends, or other schedules when business demands require it.
