AstroTurf installs outdoor tennis and basketball courts as well as artificial turf fields and running tracks. As an Apprentice, your responsibilities are to: TRACKS Learn and develop skills used on outdoor tracks for: Operate weed eater Operate edger and pick up grass sod Operate walk behind Billy-Goat Blower Adhere to all safety requirements and regulations Perform general tasks as directed Assist with setup and tear down of job sites Assist with loading and unloading trucks Complete truck logs in accordance with governmental regulations Assist with maintaining equipment Safely operate forklift Safely operate truck and trailers Safely operate various types of power tools and equipment Work Conditions Outside in varying weather conditions Out of town requiring overnight stays up to 1 week at a time Following safety procedures when exposed to: Equipment capable of causing personal injury Exposure to chemicals Available to work weekends and nights as required Please note this description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
