Seizure disorder(s) Certain Sleep Disorders, such as Narcolepsy Contact the Human Resources Department if you wish to request an accommodation or further discuss the above restrictions.*** What You Will Do: Work under limited supervision and selects from written instructions and established procedures to accomplish assigned tasks Perform repairs and assigned preventive maintenance services Perform inspection, diagnosis, and repair of electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake and air systems on vehicles and equipment Fabricate and repair body parts on trailers as well as disassemble and reassemble trailer parts as necessary to repair damaged areas Utilize vehicle computer electronics systems to interpret failure modes to initiate or assign repairs Estimate time and material costs on vehicle repairs and requisition of new parts Perform service calls for emergency breakdowns Conduct safety checks on vehicles Complete required paperwork associated with repairing vehicles, documenting parts usage, and accounting for repair times Review, completes, or assigns repairs identified on Vehicle Conditioning Reports Maintain a clean, safe work area in compliance with Corporate / OSHA Standards, and performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures Qualifications: You Have: Must be at least 18 years of age. At least three (3) years of experience as a trailer mechanic on class 8 trucks Diesel Engine Technical degree and/or training relative and transferable experience preferred. Knowledge in the safe operations of all garage tools, diagnostic equipment, lifts, hoists, and jacking equipment. Ability to identify and obtain necessary replacement parts as needed to execute repairs Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and assist others Must be able to work in a dusty, greasy environment, with moderate noise and cold and hot temperature ranges Must be able to follow all required work safe practices Must have own tools A Commercial (A or B) Driver License preferred PA State Inspection license highly desired ASEs preferred You Might Have: A Diesel Engine Technical degree A commercial drivers license (CDL), A or B PA State Inspection License (highly desired) ASEs We Offer: Competitive Salary Two (2) weeks’ vacation in year one Your birthday off, paid!
