CDLs will drive, operate equipment, and provide general labor in these areas: Crack Seal, Sealcoat, Chip Seal, Slurry Seal, Striping. WHY JOIN SUNLAND? • Competitive salary • 401(K) match after 30 days of employment • Work/Life Balance and Community Involvement • Comprehensive Health Benefits including Health, Dental, Vision • Award Winning Peers & Projects • A Foundation Built on Safety Essential Duties: • Operate commercial motor vehicles requiring a valid CDL, including vehicles requiring Hazmat and Tanker endorsements. • Perform manual labor duties in support of paving and construction operations, including site preparation, asphalt placement, shoveling, raking, cleanup, and traffic control. • Operate heavy construction and paving equipment, including trucks, pavers, rollers, screeds, paving finishers, curbing machines, and front-end loaders. • Work safely and efficiently to meet production goals and project schedules. • Comply with all applicable DOT, federal, state, and local regulations. • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections and complete required DVIR documentation. • Maintain accurate driver logs and records in accordance with regulatory requirements. • Coordinate with maintenance personnel to address vehicle and equipment repair needs. • Transport equipment, materials, and supplies to and from job sites as required. • Assist with the maintenance and upkeep of vehicles and equipment. • Perform other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: • High school diploma or GED is preferred. • Current, Class A, CDL license in the state where the majority of work is being performed is required. • Six (6) months to one (1) year related experience is preferred. • Tanker endorsement may be required depending on position/dept./division. • Hazmat endorsement is strongly preferred. • Must meet FMCSA English proficiency requirements under 49 CFR §391.11(b)(2).
