We are currently seeking skilled Marine Insulators for a potential 5-year project in Norfolk, VA. This opportunity involves hands-on labor working at the Norfolk Naval Shipyard, offering a dynamic and fast-paced environment for experienced professionals. Note: This position is contingent upon contract award. Employment will begin only if and when the company secures the government contract associated with this role. Overview: Apply, remove, and repair insulation and lagging on piping, machinery, and shipboard structures. Responsibilities: • Install thermal, sound, and protective insulation materials. • Shape and secure insulation around pipes, valves, and fittings. • Remove and dispose of old insulation safely. • Follow OSHA and shipyard safety guidelines. Qualifications: • Active DoD Secret clearance required. • 4+ years of insulation/lagging experience, with at least 2+ years on Navy ships. • Knowledge of insulation materials and installation techniques. • High school diploma/GED. • Ability to work 1st, 2nd and 3rd shift.
