What You'll Do as a CNC Machinist: • Set up and operate CNC Vertical Mill machining centers • Load parts, cycle machine and detect malfunctions in operations • Perform highly diversified and complex contour milling, drilling, boring, and tapping • Interpret blueprints to produce high quality parts • Maintain tight tolerances • Inspect work to verify conformance of finished product • Perform minor machine maintenance such as maintaining coolants What We're Looking for in a CNC Machinist: • 2+ years of CNC vertical mill setup and operation • Solid blueprint reading skills • Ability to follow written work instructions • Working knowledge of G & M codes • Experience with materials such as steel, aluminum, cast iron and alloys • High attention to detail and pride in craftsmanship • Ability to physically lift/push/pull objects up to 40 lbs. • Standard measuring tools required Why WALCO? • Competitive hourly pay with opportunities for overtime • Full benefits package: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, Life Insurance, STD, LTD • Paid Time Off and Paid Holiday • Employee Assistance Program • Tuition Assistance • Stable work environment with a team that values integrity, professionalism and craftsmanship • Climate-controlled facility Compensation and schedule: • $22-30 per hour, based on experience with opportunities for overtime • Second shift or overlapping shift • Second shift employees receive a 10% shift differential on top of base pay • Flexible scheduling in 24/7 operation • Second shift employees have the option to choose between five 8-hour shifts or four 10-hour shifts per week, depending on availability
