ND Energy Services is seeking experienced Crane Riggers. A Crane Rigger assists with inspections and configuring cables, ropes, pulleys, winches, and blocks according to weight and size of the load to be moved. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: • Align, level, and anchor machine • Attach loads to rigging support or prepare them for moving, using hand and power tools • Attach pulleys and blocks to fixed overhead structures such as beams, ceilings, booms, using bolts and clamps • Dismantle and store rigging equipment after use • Fabricate, set up, and repair rigging, supporting structures, hoists, and pulling gear • Manipulate rigging lines, hoists, and pulling gear to move or support materials, such as heavy equipment • Select gear such as cables, pulleys, and winches according to load weights and sizes • Signal or verbally direct workers engaged in hoisting and moving loads in order to ensure safety of workers and materials • Attends and participates in safety meetings • Test rigging to ensure safety and reliability • Tilt, dip, and turn suspended loads to maneuver over, under and/or around obstacles • Understand and comply with company, customer, and health/safety policies, and any other regulations that are required • Reports any and all incidents immediately • Able to work in all weather conditions • Performs other duties as directed by management Required Skills: • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment • Must possess organization and problem-solving skills • Must be able to work with a team • Must be able to lift 100 lbs and handle physical demanding work • Must be clean shaven • Must be able to communicate using oral and basic written communication • Must pass a Pre-Employment Drug & Alcohol screening and participate in the random testing pool • Must pass a background check and motor vehicle record check • Arrange for reliable transportation to and from work Qualifications: The requirements listed in this job description are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required and must be met by an individual to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Work Environment: This job operates in an outside environment. The role routinely works in all weather conditions, including but not limited to: extreme cold ,heat, wind, rain, etc. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time position. This position regularly requires long hours and weekend work as job duties demand.
