We are seeking a hands-on, strategic Engineering Director to lead our engineering organization, advance innovation, and help position Angelus as a leader in aerospace and defense interconnect solutions. Reporting to the President, this leader will combine technical vision, operational discipline, and people leadership to build a high-performing engineering function. What You’ll Do Define and execute long-term engineering strategy, technology roadmaps, annual priorities, and new-product-development initiatives aligned with company and customer needs. Lead and develop a high-performing engineering organization through effective hiring, coaching, performance management, and leadership development. Drive innovation and technical excellence by guiding technology, materials, design, and engineering methods that deliver high-quality, cost-effective solutions. Establish KPIs, manage the engineering budget and resources, and champion continuous-improvement initiatives that strengthen execution and efficiency. Partner with Sales, Operations, Quality, Finance, customers, suppliers, and external engineering resources to solve technical challenges and support business goals. Qualifications: What You Bring Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required; Master’s degree in Engineering or Engineering Management preferred. 12+ years of progressive engineering experience, preferably in aerospace and defense interconnects or a comparable regulated manufacturing environment. 4+ years of experience leading and developing engineering leaders and technical teams. Demonstrated success leading engineering transformation, innovation, New Product Development, and structured continuous-improvement initiatives.
