Senior Civil Construction Estimator Location: 2401 S. Broadway Ave., Moore, OK 73160 Position Type: Full-Time | Salaried Silver Star Construction, an employee-owned leader in heavy civil and roadway construction, is seeking an experienced Senior Civil Construction Estimator to support projects throughout the Oklahoma City metro area and surrounding communities. Key Responsibilities • Identify and pursue bidding opportunities within targeted construction markets • Review plans, specifications, geotechnical reports, and contract documents • Develop complete and accurate project cost estimates • Prepare quantity takeoffs and material calculations • Obtain and evaluate subcontractor and supplier pricing • Analyze project risks and contract requirements • Assist in mentoring and developing junior estimating staff • Maintain and improve estimating procedures, systems, and databases • Build strong relationships with owners, engineers, subcontractors, and vendors • Determine project scope, required trades, and subcontractor participation • Review constructability concerns and value engineering opportunities • Coordinate bid preparation activities with the Chief Estimator • Assemble bid proposals and supporting documentation • Participate in project scheduling and estimate reviews Leadership Responsibilities • May oversee and guide junior estimators and support staff Qualifications • Required DOT estimating experience; ODOT experience preferred • Proficiency with HeavyBid, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office Suite, Excel, Primavera P6, AGTEK, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Project • Experience estimating DOT, municipal, and private-sector civil projects • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Building Science, or related field preferred • Equivalent combination of education and 5–10 years of relevant experience considered • Minimum of five years of civil construction estimating experience • Strong analytical, mathematical, and organizational skills • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities Compensation & Benefits • Competitive salary based on qualifications and experience • Medical, Dental, Vision, and Life Insurance • Short-Term Disability Coverage • 401(k) Retirement Plan • Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) • Paid Time Off and Six Paid Holidays Equal Opportunity Employer Apply online at silverstarconst.com, visit us at 220 Industrial Blvd., Moore, OK 73160, or call (405) 317-7680.
