Job Details: Job Location: Drop In Center - Staten Island, NY, Position Type: Full Time, Salary Range: $66300.00 - $70000.00Salary, Job Shift: Day, Conduct formal intake interviews; make assessments and referrals as needed. Complete psycho-socials and social history when applicable. Provide short and long-term counseling, crisis intervention, safety planning, and psycho-education. Maintain complete, accurate, and up-to-date programmatic paperwork and statistical information. Assist clients in completing entitlement forms as needed. Make referrals for various services, such as food, clothing, bathing, psychiatric evaluations, medical evaluations, TB and HIV testing, and accompany clients as needed and also handle follow-up as needed. Make referrals to other service areas within Project Hospitality and the community. Participate in weekly supervision, weekly staff meetings, Facilitate community meetings/groups and ongoing case conferences. Transport/Accompany clients to appropriate referral sites when deemed necessary. Qualifications: Masters Degree in Social Work and LMSW required. Minimum of 1-year experience working with the mentally ill and homeless populations, experience with substance abuse also preferred. Experience with group work, and working with individuals needed. Knowledge of DSM V. Bilingual Spanish/English is a plus. Must have exceptional communication skills both orally and in writing, with individuals and groups regarding confidential and sensitive issues.
