Working alongside physicians, advanced practice providers, social workers, chaplains, hospice aides, and volunteers, you'll deliver compassionate, individualized care in a peaceful, state-of-the-art hospice environment. Your responsibilities include: Providing comprehensive nursing assessments and ongoing patient evaluations Managing pain and complex symptoms using evidence-based hospice practices Administering medications, treatments, and comfort-focused interventions Collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized plans of care Educating and supporting patients and families throughout the hospice journey Documenting patient care accurately in the electronic medical record Responding to changes in patient condition with clinical expertise and compassion Promoting dignity, comfort, and quality of life for every patient Qualifications: 🎯 Qualifications ✅ Required 🩺 Current Florida Registered Nurse (RN) License or eligible Compact License. 🏥 Minimum of one year of acute care nursing experience. 💬 Excellent assessment, communication, and critical-thinking skills. 🤝 Ability to work collaboratively and effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment. 💙 Strong commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care with dignity and respect. ⭐ Preferred 🌿 Previous Hospice or Palliative Care experience. 🏥 Experience in Oncology, ICU, Emergency Department, or Medical-Surgical nursing. 🎓 Certified Hospice and Palliative Nurse (CHPN) certification. 📚 Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). 💙 Why Big Bend Hospice?
