Requirements for the job: Must have a valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle with up-to-date insurance, and experience working with seniors. Providing a helping hand. • Have fun and engaging conversations with your clients to build relationships • Participate in your clients’ favorite hobbies, including scrapbooking, gardening, games, and more • Prepare meals for your clients to enjoy • Assist your clients with walking, dressing, and other activities of daily living • Report what activities were completed with your clients and provide updates on your clients’ physical condition, mental capacity, and behavior SOME OF THE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE: • Meal preparation • Companionship • Medication reminders • Light housekeeping • Follow client care plans and provide updates as needed • Fall-risk oversight • Taking clients to appointments, food shopping, and errands as needed • Uphold the standards of Age-Friendly Care at Home (AFCH) certification by delivering personalized, respectful care that aligns with the 4Ms framework — What Matters, Medication, Mentation, and Mobility — and adhering to all Senior Helpers and APFM policies and best practices Why be a Senior Helpers Caregiver?
