Working as a 1st Shift Prepress Operator, you can expect the following:   Primary responsibility is Prepress Mac file production for offset printed products including: packaging, saddlestitch and perfectbind books, menus, diecut/foil/emboss items and all other general commercial work. Candidate must have a well-rounded knowledge of the entire print production process, strong verbal and written communication skills, maintain high quality standards and be detail oriented.         Perform work as assigned by Prepress Manager. This includes: Application file prep Make plates Trim and QC proofs Use Adobe Suite products daily, especially InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop Use Prepress software/impostion (i.e. Kodak Prinergy/Preps) Communicate well. Respond to questions and provide support to others in Prepress, outside departments and clients in a professional manner Make suggestions to improve processes and reduce mistakes Observe that proper quality control procedures are being followed Keep department clean and organized You will also develop and maintain business relationships with your (really awesome) coworkers within Prisma. You will provide input on forming Prisma prepress best practices (we LOVE collaboration and input!) You will help us build a stronger company. Every single day. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Enough About Us! Candidate Qualifications:   High school diploma required, additional coursework and/or industry training is a plus. 2-5 years Prepress and print production knowledge required. Must have the ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Must have strong work ethics. Must be well organized and a self-starter. Must be able to follow standard filing procedures. Detail oriented, professional attitude, and reliable. Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing. Exceptional interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills.
