Job Details: Job Location: Main Clinic - Lubbock, TX, Salary Range: Undisclosed, Job Category: Health Care, New LVN hires are eligible for a $2,500 sign-on bonus.   Please indicate on your application if you are interested in working in pediatrics, adult, or both.   The Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN), or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), is responsible for providing a supportive role to medical professionals to administer patient care. Their duties include taking a patient’s vital signs, including heart rate or blood pressure, assisting Physicians and Nurses throughout examinations by recording a patient’s health information and administering vaccinations or taking blood samples as instructed by Physicians or Nurses.   The LVN has to be able to perform duties and responsibilities that include: Recording and updating patient histories Discussing health care issues and concerns Providing assistance with therapies Drawing blood for testing Acting as a point of contact for a patient Qualifications: Education: Graduation from an accredited Licensed Practical/Vocational Nursing program. Licensure: Licensed as a Practical/Vocational Nurse in the State of Texas. Experience: One to two years’ experience as a LVN, preferably with experience in a clinic, doctor’s office, or similar health care facility.  Expertise: Current in Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers (CPR). Language: English; bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred. Travel: 25-50% locally; valid Texas drivers’ license and current auto insurance required; must have reliable and safe transportation                  KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS Knowledge Knowledge of nursing techniques. Knowledge of medical terminology Skills Be able to exercise good judgment and be neat and clean. Excellent team participation and organizational skills.
