Applications will remain active for 365 days.  SUMMARY: The Bus Driver is responsible to the Director of the Physical Plant and shall possess evidence of skill proficiency required to perform the duties and responsibilities listed below. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Safely transport passengers to and from scheduled locations Obey all traffic laws and safety regulations for passenger buses Communicate effectively with the maintenance department Perform pre-trip inspections on the bus before each route or trip as required Complete forms, records, and reports as required Clean and service the school bus including interior sweeping Report necessary bus repairs or damage to the maintenance department Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications: MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS: Have a high school diploma or GED/HSE Must be a minimum of 25 years of age Hold a valid Class A or B, Commercial Driver’s License and meet all Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements Have a satisfactory driving record that demonstrates a commitment to safety At least three (3) years’ experience driving large vehicles (26,001 lbs. or more) ENVIRONMENT AND DEMANDS: The work environment is mostly in a vehicle or outside. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
