Job Details: Job Location: WDI - Durham, NC, Position Type: Part Time, Salary Range: Undisclosed, Job Purpose: The Bull Durham Bar Server is responsible for delivering exceptional service to guests by providing a welcoming atmosphere, taking accurate drink orders, and ensuring a high-quality dining experience. The role involves working collaboratively with the bar and restaurant team to maintain a clean, organized, and efficient bar area, while adhering to all health and safety regulations. Key Responsibilities: Greet guests in a friendly and professional manner, ensuring they feel welcomed and valued from the moment they arrive. Accurately take and deliver drink orders, demonstrating a thorough knowledge of the bar menu, including cocktails, wines, and other beverages. Prepare and serve drinks according to the established recipes and standards, ensuring consistency and quality in every order. Provide recommendations and answer any questions guests may have regarding the bar menu, demonstrating a deep understanding of the offerings. Maintain a clean and organized bar area, including washing glassware, cleaning countertops, and restocking supplies as needed. Collaborate with the kitchen and waitstaff to ensure seamless service and a positive guest experience. Handle guest complaints or concerns promptly and professionally, seeking to resolve issues to the guest's satisfaction. Adhere to all health, safety, and hygiene standards, ensuring compliance with local regulations and company policies. Assist in the setup and breakdown of the bar area for special events or functions, as required. Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge related to bar service and hospitality. Maintain accurate records of transactions and handle cash or credit card payments securely and efficiently. Contribute to a positive team environment by supporting colleagues and promoting a culture of excellence and service. Performs other duties as assigned by the Restaurant Manager. Qualifications: Required Education: High school diploma or equivalent is required. Additional certifications in hospitality or food service management are preferred but not mandatory Required Experience: Minimum of 1 year experience working in a bar or restaurant environment is essential. Proven track record of delivering exceptional customer service in a fast-paced setting. Experience in handling cash transactions and using point-of-sale systems efficiently. Previous experience in a luxury hotel or upscale dining establishment is advantageous Required Skills and Abilities: Strong knowledge of beverage preparation, including cocktails, beer, wine, and spirits. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with guests and team members. Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a busy environment. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle customer complaints professionally. Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.  Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
