Automotive Service Advisor Responsibilities As a Service Advisor, you will be the primary point of contact between our customers and automotive technicians. Responsibilities include: • Greet customers and determine their vehicle service and repair needs • Create and manage repair orders • Accurately document customer concerns and vehicle symptoms • Recommend scheduled maintenance and necessary vehicle repairs • Provide customers with repair estimates and service recommendations • Explain automotive repairs and maintenance in clear, understandable terms • Communicate with technicians regarding diagnosis, repairs, and vehicle status • Keep customers informed throughout the service and repair process • Obtain customer authorization for recommended repairs • Schedule service appointments and customer follow-ups • Review completed repair orders for accuracy • Assist customers with warranty and maintenance questions • Maintain accurate customer and vehicle service records • Build strong customer relationships and encourage repeat business • Help maintain high levels of customer satisfaction Qualifications • Previous Automotive Service Advisor or Service Writer experience preferred • Dealership service department experience is a plus • Automotive repair and vehicle maintenance knowledge preferred • Excellent communication and customer service skills • Strong sales and relationship-building skills • Ability to explain automotive repairs and recommendations to customers • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities • Comfortable working in a busy, fast-paced automotive service department • Experience with dealership management systems or automotive service software is a plus • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record • Professional, dependable, and team-oriented Candidates with experience as a Service Advisor, Service Writer, Automotive Service Consultant, Assistant Service Manager, Automotive Technician, Parts Advisor, or dealership customer service representative are encouraged to apply.
