This position will be On-Call About the Role We are seeking reliable, customer-focused part-time drivers to support our car dealership’s operations. As a 1099 contractor, you will transport vehicles, parts, and equipment between our San Marcos location and other dealership sites, customer appointments, and approved drop-off points. This role requires discretion, professionalism, and the ability to work independently while meeting strict safety and service standards. Key Responsibilities • Transport vehicles, parts, and equipment between dealership locations, customer appointments, and approved drop-off points. • Load and unload vehicles and materials safely and efficiently. • Maintain accurate delivery logs and follow all dealership scheduling requirements. • Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and dealership policies. • Provide courteous, professional service to customers and dealership staff. • Perform basic vehicle inspections and report any issues to management. • Maintain and clean assigned vehicle as required. • Follow all environmental and safety protocols for handling vehicles and materials. Qualifications & Skills • Valid Texas driver’s license with clean driving record. • Experience as a driver, especially in the automotive or logistics industry, preferred. • Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines. • Strong customer service skills and professionalism. • Familiarity with vehicle handling and basic maintenance is a plus. • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed. Requirements for 1099 Contractor Status • Must operate as an independent contractor; no benefits or payroll taxes provided by the dealership. • Willing to sign a written contract outlining scope of work, pay rate, and responsibilities. Rates will be based distance. • Must maintain own vehicle and insurance (compliant with Texas DOT and dealership requirements).
