The Community Living Coach supports those with developmental, intellectual, psychiatric and other disabilities. This role is under the direction of the Community Housing Coordinator. To learn more about this position, please read the summarized list of duties and qualifications below: Implement selected aspects of the consumer centered plans with focus on skills training in the areas of basic survival and daily independent living skills. Promote and provide activities that develop social and leisure skills within the home environment and through linkage with external community resources. Develop a respectful helping and supportive relationship with each consumer to promote recovery and reintegration into the mainstream of community living. Minimum requirements include a High School Diploma/GED, valid driver license, driving history that meets company's insurability, and reliable transportation. Direct Support Professional (DSP), Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), or Emergency Medical Tech (EMT), or similar experience a plus! Must be able to obtain CPR and First Aid certification offered through Bridgeway, along with successfully passing the Direct Support Person (DSP) credential and Medication training program. If licensed, required to maintain license requirements. Employment with Bridgeway is conditional upon completion of all background checks. For mental health residential settings, minimum requirement will include a minimum of 21 years of age and meet the Department of Mental Health (DMH) credentialing requirements of a Residential Services Associate (RSA) to work in mental health residential settings.
