Personal Care Aide (PCA/HHA) – In-Home Senior Care Location: Henderson, NC and nearby communities Pay: $14–$17 per hour Employment Type: Full-time, Part-time and PRN, with opportunities for additional hours as client needs grow Would you like a caregiving position where you can build meaningful relationships and provide focused, one-on-one support? Preferred Care at Home of Wake Forest, Zebulon, and Henderson is building its local caregiver team to support seniors in Henderson and nearby communities, including Wake Forest, Franklinton, and Oxford. Our caregivers help older adults remain safe, comfortable, and independent in their own homes. This is an assignment-based home care position. Schedules and weekly hours vary based on client needs, caregiver availability, proximity, experience, and compatibility. As our client base grows, additional assignments and hours may become available. Why Join Our Team? • One-on-one client assignments • Flexible, assignment-based scheduling • Weekly pay • W-2 employee position • Thoughtful matching based on experience, availability, preferences, and proximity • Responsive support from a locally owned and family-operated agency • Opportunities for additional hours as new client assignments become available • Meaningful work helping seniors remain in their own homes Responsibilities May Include • Providing companionship and emotional support • Assisting with bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal care • Helping clients with safe transfers and mobility • Preparing meals and completing light housekeeping • Providing medication reminders • Assisting with grocery shopping and errands • Providing transportation when authorized as part of the client’s care plan • Supporting clients living with Alzheimer’s disease or other forms of dementia • Observing and reporting changes in a client’s condition • Following the client’s established plan of care Qualifications • Previous professional or personal caregiving experience preferred • PCA, HHA, home care, assisted living, memory care, or senior care experience is a plus • Compassionate, patient, and respectful approach to care • Reliable transportation to clients’ homes • Professional and dependable work habits • Strong communication skills • Ability to complete required background screening • PCA or HHA training is preferred • Dementia care experience is a plus • CPR and First Aid certification is a plus • Valid driver’s license, automobile insurance, and an acceptable driving record are required for assignments involving client transportation Available Schedules Assignments may include: • Daytime • Evening • Overnight • Weekend • Part-time • PRN Base pay is $14–$17 per hour. Certain assignments may include additional differential pay based on shift requirements, specialized experience, training, or client needs.
