Job Details: Level: Experienced, Job Location: Building 2 - Romeo, MI, Position Type: Full Time, Salary Range: $25.00 - $35.00Hourly, he tool maker's primary purpose is to ensure tools and dies are built, maintained and repaired in a timely fashion. The tool maker reports directly to the tool room foreman for assignment of duties and is expected to track and document all work performed. Responsibilities for Tool Maker: Operate tool room equipment safely and efficiently and in accordance with OSHA standards and company procedures Perform extensive die maintenance such as rebuilding die sections, inserts and forms and engineering changes on all types of dies, fixtures, gages or other tooling needs Read and understand specifications such as blueprints, sketches, models or descriptions, and visualize product to determine materials required and machines to be used to fabricate parts, build tooling, and meet customer requirements Demonstrate good short and long term decision making in these areas: Press Room troubleshooting Diagnosis of problem and courses of action Tool Room machining practices Performs all duties and operates machinery & equipment according to OSHA standards and company procedures using required safety equipment (gloves, safety glasses, ear plugs, etc.) Participates in continuous improvement activities Assumes other duties as directed by management We are a well established company with over 60 years in the automotive industry.  D&N is family owned and operated with a fostering culture that brings up its employees.  We value quality and integrity while pursuing a work culture that is rewarding to our employees.  Drive and ambition core values we look for in our employees.  If you are looking for a long term career that will help you grow, then D&N is the place for you.      Shift: Day shift Monday - Friday 6am-4:30pm.   (Saturdays as needed) Pay: $23 - $30/hr based on experience.   We also have much to offer such as: Health Vision Dental Life Insurance PTO 7 Paid Holidays 401K Bi-annual reviews Potential for career advancement Tuition Reimbursement AND MORE!!!!  Qualifications: Requirments: 3+ years of tool and die biulding experience Experience in construction and tryout of hard and soft tooling Knowledge of ISO preferred Lathe and CNC experience Blueprint reading Some CAD experience preffered Prenotch and stamp die experience.  Positive attitude Strong attention to detail Ability to stand for 8-10 hours a day Able to lift more than 50 pounds
