Are you looking for a way to make some extra money? The Williamsport Home is seeking a part time cook for our skilled nursing facility. This cook will be scheduled every other weekend with the opportunity to work some afternoon/evening hours during the week. Cook experience is required for this position.   Position Summary: Performs a variety of quantity cooking and other kitchen duties and directs dietary aides under the supervision of the Food Service Director. Must adhere to all standards of the Board of Health and OSHA. Responsibility: Reads and follows extended menus, preparation book and bulletin boards; Prepares items skillfully and on strict time schedule; Serves on tray and food service line; Fills and completes nourishment requisitions and delivers to floor(s); Modifies/updates recipes as needed; notifies Food Service Director of same Performs duties as assigned by Food Service Director; Completes and initials job tasks in quality assurance book; Keeps work areas clean, orderly and safe; Attend various facility committee meetings as deemed necessary; Serve as liaison with nursing department; Maintains a safe work environment and exhibits safe work practices, assuring resident safety.
