Service Department Lube Technician Metro Ford in Independence MO is seeking a Lube Technician. This is a very fast paced opportunity that requires the ability to multitask at a high level. The right individual has some experience around vehicles but does not require formal training. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES • Perform vehicle inspections, basic maintenance, minor repairs, and documentation. • Communicate with service advisor when additional repairs are needed or when repairs cannot be completed in the scheduled time period. • Inspect vehicles to ensure that all features function properly. • Perform Missouri Vehicle Inspections. JOB REQUIREMENTS • General automotive service to include; oil changes, flushes, basic maintenance, tire rotation & repairs, inspections and other repairs as per repair order. • Team oriented, flexible and focused on maintaining a high level of customer service. • Must have a valid driver’s license. • Automotive maintenance experience preferred but not required. • MVI license required or obtaining license within 30 days of hire. • Previous experience at a Ford dealership is a plus • Ability to identify the problem quickly • Knowledge of automobiles • Effective analytical and communication skills • Strong reading, computer, and mathematics skills • Ability to learn new technology and repair and service procedures and specifications • Comfortable operating electronic diagnostic equipment • High school diploma or GED • Minimum of 1 year in service department • Ability to lift 50 pounds and work on your feet for extended periods of time • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment • Basic computer skills • Positive, friendly attitude WE OFFER • Union shop. • Flat rate pay, starting at $23.13 per flat rate hour. • 4 day work week. • Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401k plan & paid vacation.
