INDIAN CUISINE CHEF Location: Chicago Marriott Northwest Address: 4800 Hoffman Blvd, Hoffman Estates, IL 60192 Salary: $50,000 – $75,000 per year, depending on experience Employment Type: Full-Time Department: Food & Beverage / Culinary JOB SUMMARY Chicago Marriott Northwest is seeking an experienced Indian Cuisine Chef to prepare authentic, high-quality Indian cuisine while maintaining excellent standards of taste, presentation, consistency, and food safety. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Prepare authentic Indian dishes according to established recipes and quality standards. • Develop and execute Indian menus featuring vegetarian and non-vegetarian selections. • Prepare curries, biryanis, tandoori items, naan, kebabs, dals, breads, and regional specialties. • Maintain consistency in taste, portion size, presentation, and food quality. • Manage daily food preparation and kitchen organization. • Monitor food inventory and assist with ordering ingredients and supplies. • Maintain proper food storage, temperature control, and sanitation procedures. • Train and guide kitchen staff on Indian cooking techniques. • Minimize food waste while maintaining proper portion control. • Support hotel banquets, events, and guest dining operations. • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional kitchen environment. QUALIFICATIONS • 3+ years of professional Indian cuisine experience preferred. • Strong knowledge of Indian spices, ingredients, and traditional cooking techniques. • Experience with both vegetarian and non-vegetarian Indian cuisine. • Hotel, restaurant, banquet, or high-volume kitchen experience preferred. • Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards. • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced hospitality environment. • Culinary education or professional culinary training is preferred. COMPENSATION $50,000 – $75,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
